Welcome to our Annual Rock House Outdoor Music Festival and Cookout. This has become quite a popular event where you can see and hear some of the most popular regional bands and be introduced to up-and-coming talent in our area, all in a relaxed, supper chill outdoor setting. Gates open at 2 pm. Music begins with a new( for us) incredibly talented Bluegrass band called King Size. These guys are the real deal so get here by 2:00 to catch their set. At 3:00 Rock House royalty, The Creek Rocks, will grace our stage. Then, new to The Rock House and all the way from Nashville, Kristen Budde along with her musical partner Dillion Hamilton will take the stage around 4:00. At 5:00, Springfield’s darlings, Steve and Adie will play a set before we break for dinner. Bruce again will be cooking up some fine bbq! After dinner, around 7 pm Difters Mile, who have been wowing crowds every where, will keep the vibe going. And then at 8:30ish the band Fritz and Sons, from KCMO, with their rhythm forward take on country, old time, honky tonk, and funk will send everyone home with their toes-a-tappin’❣️This outdoor event is behind The Rock House in the Rock House Music Garden. Parking across the street or anywhere downtown. You may pull up the driveway to drop off chairs and passengers, but our backyard parking will be reserved for the bands and handicapped parking. We will have 50 chairs set up for patio seating. There will also be plenty of space to bring your lawn chairs or blankets. Only low chairs or blankets will be allowed on the grass in front of the stage. Bring a side dish or dessert for the famous potluck dinner. Bruce and I will contribute to the BBQ, which will include both meat and veggie options. BYOB, we will have water and iced tea available. Bring cash for our merch table and raffle! It is also a good idea to bring bug spray and an extra layer of clothing for the evening.
