Join us on Friday, Oct. 5th, 2018, for an evening of fine music with Bob Walkenhorst and Jeff Porter. Special guest, Una Walkenhorst

Bob and Una Walkenhorst are a father-daughter duo from Kansas City, Missouri. Bob Walkenhorst has been a fixture on the Kansas City and international music scene since the 1980's as lead singer and songwriter for the critically acclaimed band The Rainmakers. 2018 finds Bob collaborating with his daughter Una, a singer-songwriter in her own right, from her 2014 release Scars, to her recent years as part of the New Orleans folk scene. Their common love of traditional songs and 2-part family harmony is bringing about new songs, new visions, and new recordings. Their album, For Tomorrow, was just released last month.

Bob Walkenhorst has been a presence in the music scene for over 25 years. From his early bar days with the band Steve Bob & Rich, to his years of international acclaim as songwriter and lead singer for The Rainmakers, Bob's unique vocals and viewpoints have gathered him a dedicated following. His acoustic performances feature many Rainmakers favorites, as well as new songs from his ongoing songwriting adventures. Joining Bob on guitar and piano is long-time Kansas City musician Jeff Porter, an accomplished singer and songwriter in his own right. Their acoustic performances have the strength and professionalism that have come with years in the music business, but maintain the joy and spontaneity of true believers who discover something new every time they play.

Doors open at 6:30 for a potluck dinner, b.y.o.b. social time.

Music begins at 8:00 for the listening room concert.
